Tony Pedregon plans to rebound at Gainesville after slow start

Something has been troubling Tony Pedregon for the last nine days, and the only way to rectify it is to bounce back from a slow start in NHRA’s Full Throttle Drag Racing Series.

He’ll have the opportunity Friday when the Tire Kingdom Gatornationals – the second of 22 races – begins at Gainesville, Fla.

“Our results at the Winternationals (Feb. 27) weren’t what we expect from this team,” Pedregon commented.   “We have been working hard to make sure we are ready Friday when qualifying begins.  We need to qualify better and improve our setup for race day.  We are excited to be racing at Gainesville Raceway”

Pedregon will be flying the distinctive, multi-colored Nitro Fish paint scheme on his Chevrolet Funny Car this weekend.

“We always put a lot of time and effort into branding the car in a way that reflects the exciting apparel that Nitro Fish offers,” Pedregon said.  “As usual, we think it will be a hit with our fans.”
