LE Tonglet readies for another Pro Stock MC championship

At another Pro Stock Motorcycle championship

LE Tonglet’s daily routine remains the same.
He’s up in the morning and off to his job as a Honda motorcycle mechanic.
But there is one thing quite different this year. There is a huge 2010 NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle world championship trophy sitting in his house – the one he and the Tonglet Racing Nitro Fish Suzuki team earned in his spectacular rookie season of Full Throttle Drag Racing Series action.
With his dad Gary and brother GT making the tuning calls, LE delivered in true championship fashion, winning four of the last six races to edge Andrew Hines by four points.
Kenny Koretsky, who facilitated that final surge with a five-race sponsorship from Nitro Fish, thoroughly enjoyed the ride, too. The championship was his first in 30 years of drag racing.
Because their partnership yielded such fantastic results, Koretsky and the Tonglets are continuing their relationship for the 2011 season.
“I think everyone expected this announcement,” Koretsky said Monday, “and now we are making it official. Nitro Fish will be sponsoring LE and the Tonglet Racing team. We are looking forward to the new season. We want to make it two championships in a row.
“I can’t wait for the season to start,” added Gary Tonglet. “We are fortunate to represent Nitro Fish and to be associated with Kenny. He was there when we needed him and he’s still here. Kenny and all of the people that work for him are like family to us.”
The team’s 15-race Pro Stock Motorcycle quest for the championship – and another big trophy – begins at Gainesville, Fla., March 10-13.
