Aaron’s partners with Don Schumacher Racing

Aaron’s Inc., a leader in the sales and lease ownership and specialty retailing of residential furniture, consumer electronics, home appliances and accessories, has joined the stable of Don Schumacher Racing partners.

As part of this exciting agreement, Aaron’s will be the primary sponsor of the Dodge Charger R/T Funny Car driven by Jack Beckman at 12 races and the major associate sponsor for the remaining 10 as well as the primary on the Top Fuel dragster driven by Antron Brown for three races during the upcoming NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series season.

“We are thrilled to be associated with a great company like Aaron’s,” said Schumacher. “Aaron’s really understands how to use motorsports in its overall marketing program, something evident from its years of NASCAR involvement.”

"We could not be more pleased than to partner with DSR and to have Jack Beckman and Antron Brown represent Aaron's," said Ken Butler, Aaron's president and chief operating officer. “This sponsorship helps expand our imprint in the world of motorsports, and we are eager to see the Aaron’s brand race down the track at 300 mph. We have been aware of the NHRA for some time, and we feel that the drag racing fan matches up very well with our customer profile. Our goal is to build our brand with superior competition on the racetrack and offer NHRA fans the best service and guaranteed low prices on brand-name merchandise in our 1,800 stores across the country.

The Aaron’s/Valvoline Funny Car makes its seasonal debut Feb. 24-27 at the traditional season opener, the 51st annual Kragen O'Reilly Auto Parts NHRA Winternationals presented by Valvoline in Pomona.
