Carroll Shelby Licensing Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Carroll Shelby International Inc. (CSBI.PK), has teamed up with MARCH LA.B to introduce the exclusive and timeless MARCH LA.B Shelby Limited Edition Watch. Only 200 timepieces will be available for a limited time at retailers worldwide on Nov. 10.
“This elegant and stunning watch will be a great keepsake for any Shelby fan, automotive aficionado or luxury watch collector,” said Tracey Smith, vice president of Carroll Shelby Licensing. “Designed to commemorate the legendary Shelby ‘Green Hornet’, this timepiece reflects Shelby’s tradition of pure performance and racing aesthetics.”
As a racing icon and world-class automotive designer, Carroll Shelby designed the Mustang hardtop double prototype, known as the Shelby EXP 500 in 1968. The notchback Shelby was dubbed the “Green Hornet” and outfitted with a ‘68 Shelby custom hood, independent suspensions and powered with a fuel injected 428 CJ “X” engine. The watch features a wood dial face that replicates the original dash of the muscle car along with Shelby’s signature and Cobra logo.
“This car is a part of the Shelby history,” noted Jerome Mage, creative director of MARCH LA.B. “We designed the watch to celebrate one of Carroll’s greatest automotive creations. The timepiece includes the finest materials and craftsmanship that reflects Carroll’s car designs.”
