PROJECT G-BODY DAY ONE - Rural Retrieval

PROJECT G-BODY DAY ONE - Rural Retrieval
Today was a great day of finding out just what I was working with...Unfortunately the 1980 Cutlass Supreme was NOT a 442, but just a semi-clean g-body GM car with straight sheet-metal and a few extra parts in the truck.

Proof, if someone tells you they have a FREE 442 and you can have it...
If it's to good to be true...it most likely is.
But I say to heck with it, I'll clone the livery from 1980 and shoot for some specific goals.
8-second quarters/150mph and 20 miles per gallon.
All in a mid-eighty's GM G-body I can driver EVERY DAY.

Now don't say I did not warn you...this car is just what you can imagine.

Here is the first image I took of the car, hey man it's already "in the weeds"

LOOK! A front end and the front glass/plastic is all perfect.

I found it...the rear end!
And it's all intact as well.

Finally a shot of me with my trusty chainsaw...
What did you think I was gonna use...I weed-eater?

Get the car cleaned up and on aired up tires so I can get it over to  the shop ASAP.
Math says it would run a 8.943 @ 152.412 MPH if I keep it to 3800lbs with 1050HP

But there's lots to do before that is a reality...look for updates soon.
